ADOPT A HORSE    Without our 11 therapy horses, THEP would be unable to provide therapeutic equine services to the children and adults with disabilities we serve each week. Our horses carry precious cargo, and we are committed to providing them with excellent care and love. On average, it costs over $2,400 to provide grain, supplements, hay, shoeing, shavings, veterinary services and medications, and other necessary care and supplies for one year for each of our equine therapists. A very important way that generous supporters can help offset this substantial expense is to Adopt-A-Horse! An Adopt-A-Horse sponsor contributes $2,000 towards the care of one of our therapy horses for one year. The funds donated through Adopt-A-Horse are applied only to horse care and help pay for feed, supplements, shoes, vet care, and medication for our loyal therapy herd. Adopt-A-Horse pledges can be paid annually or monthly. Often times a group or family will choose to go together to Adopt-A-Horse. Supporters who Adopt-A-Horse receive an “adoption certificate” with a picture of their horse, their name is displayed on the horse’s stall and cubby and they will receive an update from their horse during the year. And, although Adopt-A-Horse does not include riding privileges, we do encourage Adopt-A-Horse sponsors to set up a time to visit their adopted friend
